3RD TRIMESTER!! (WEEK 28)

The third trimester officially starts tomorrow! Can't believe I'm already 2/3 of the way there! It seemed time was moving so slowly for the first few months...I wanted to know what we were having--I was ready to start showing--I couldn't wait to feel the first kicks. Well now, I've begun to feel I'm on a fast moving freight train with no brakes. I'm getting bigger everyday and her due date is fast approaching!!

But the last few weeks have been a lot of fun. These are the times I have been looking forward to in pregnancy...the nursery is almost done, I recently registered at Babies R Us and Target, and I've started to do a little shopping for baby clothes. Knowing myself, i will have everything done pretty soon then I'll have 10 weeks to just sit around and wait! But that's okay...I can catch a glimpse of the future and I'm well aware of the luxury I currently have to just lay down and take a nap or sit and watch two hours of TV uninterrupted.

MY UNCLE STEVE (WEEK 26)

June 1, 1955-April 30, 2008

I would like to dedicate this entry in loving memory of my dad's younger brother, Uncle Steve. He was taken suddenly from us last week in a car accident. The grief my family has felt over the last few days is indescribable. In situations like this, it's hard to make any sense of how this can happen. The only thing to do is focus on all the positive aspects Steve brought to our lives. His strong and distinct voice, infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor are just a few of the things I will miss. He takes with him a piece of all of our hearts.
